Fuk Gerardo Ortiz that foo got real week real quick when he first came out he would jam hard just like he said the new aged corridos but after the first album he started making more and more songs for chicks so now he's like another calibre 50 .....them foos sorry too . I hardly ever listen to the radio so I'm not that up to date on the newest artist but the old corridos are always better it's not only that the style has changed but so have the artist . Like Lalo mora is the shit but now his music is alright more music for chicks to jam out nothing like his old ass sht the same exact shit with Ramon Ayala most of his old songs are corridos that jammed hard but now it's a whole different style. The way I see it is that they grew up and matured and got tired of singing the same drug trafficking story ..... Which is a smart move . Look at beto quintanilla he Tried to sing corridos his whole career and towards the end all his music sounded like shit ... Point is good thing it's as easy as going to iTunes to download all the pre-corridos progressivos era music lol

they both are good...personally i prefer the old school ones like, palomo y el gorion or carlos y jose, alegres de teran but the new ones are pretty good to, they actually grew on me.... i jam both

and about groups changing style to more romantic style , i too agree the old style was better but $$$ talks.... if they sing songs more for girls and that sells cd's and sells out concerts and gets them more well known then thats the way they will go.

To me the best corridos come from Los Invasores (w/ Lalo Mora), Los Cadetes (w/ Homero Guerrero), Carlos Y Jose, Ramon Ayala (w/ Eliseo Robles), Los Cachorros, Beto Quintanilla, Luis Y Julian. I have to say that was the best era when they all played corridos.
